An Anarchist FAQ version 13.2

AFAQ is now at release 13.2. So What’s New at the FAQ?

Mostly, it is the revision of two sub-sections of section I. This is the second of three revisions, although this release was changed to be just with sections I.4 and I.5. Section I.6 will be done at the same time as  I.7 and I.8. This revision was done on schedule and the next seems to be going well and as planned.

The aim is to get section I complete before October, with section J done by the new year. This is to ensure that volume 2 is published as planned in 2010.

Section I.4 is mostly expansion of what was already there, but section I.5 was significantly changed.

Sub-sections have been merged (the old I.5.10 and I.5.11). Some have been substantially changed (the old I.5.13 and I.5.14 have been merged into the new I.5.11). The latter was done as defence of the revolution was already covered in two other sections (section H.2.1 and section J.7.6). This happened because section I was done before section H  and it seemed like a good time to fix that duplication.

Luckily only an appendix (on a critique of a Marxist attack on anarchism) referenced section I.5.14 so there was minimum impact. It also allowed the improvement of the html in that appendix, something which needs to be done in a few appendices…

Section I.5.3 has been renamed and its previous material included in I.5.2. The new section I.5.3 discusses the means by which delegates remain under control from below. This seemed far more important than discussing size of confederations, which will be determined in practice!

The revisions for the rest of section I seem to be going well, as noted, and section J should not require too much work. Then only the introduction to volume 2 to do and then it can be sent to AK Press for final proof reading publication.

We are still looking for good pictures for volume 2, so if you have any suggestions for striking graphics then please contact us. We are looking for something similar to volume 1’s cover, namely a group of anarchists demonstrating with flags and good banners.
