AFAQ is now at release 13.4. So What’s New at the FAQ?
This is the first half of the changes for section J (namely the introduction, J.1, J.2 and J.3), with the revision of the remaining three sub-sections planned before March. This revision was done on schedule and the next seems to be going well and as planned.
This revision is mostly just expanding on what was already there and fixing typos and such like. Some of the description of anarcho-syndicalism (from section J.3.8) has been removed but will re-appear in the appropriate section J.5. The next release, of the rest of section J, will involve more substantial revisions to two of the sections (merging sections and removing material more relevant to 15 years ago!).
This means that section J is still on schedule for completion by the new year. The introduction to volume 2 is being worked on as well. This is to ensure that volume 2 is published as planned in 2010. This year is also the 15th anniversary of AFAQ being officially being launched. How time flies… A blog looking back over the last five years will probably be written, although a blog on Marx’s Poverty of Philosophy is also planned.
As noted in the last few update messages, we are still looking for good pictures for volume 2, so if you have any suggestions for striking graphics then please contact us. We are looking for something similar to volume 1’s cover, namely a group of anarchists demonstrating with flags and good banners.
In short, volume 2 should be out later this year as planned. The comrades from AK Press are busy reading the already revised sections of volume 2 and section J is well in-hand.
